Adroit make Laminated Yoke DC Motors, by the virtue of their design and manufacturing technique, are high efficient motors with high power to weight / volume ratio, compared to Solid Yoke Motors. Laminated Yoke Motors are ideally suited for use with high A.C. Harmonic Component (Ripple) in D.C. Supply from thyristorised converters. Its inherent design provides for low eddy current losses in the laminated yoke, thereby offering better time constant and commutating abilities, causing sparkless commutation.Consequently better life and durability of motor components, such as carbon brushes and commutator.
